Leadership and Organizational Development; the value of assessing leaders through multiple lenses
Synopsis
A global corporation’s North American business unit contracted with us for leadership assessments to augment a leadership development program. The assessments were conducted and the analysis integrated findings from four lenses or perspectives. In this sample of 25 North American leaders a leadership pattern of behavior and style that mitigates leadership effectiveness was observed. The presence of this pattern is, we believe, tied to corporate history and culture. The case study describes the assessment process including the lenses, corporate history, the nature of the mitigating pattern, and best practice recommendations.
